INTRODUCTION

In Canada, 1 out of 6 youth experience food insecurities daily due to Canada's rising prices and lack of food supply. Snak Pack is a meal program that supports low-income families and their youth, and Snak Pack provides youth with a healthy, well-balanced and locally sourced meal right to their door daily. Our primary goal is to give youth the fuel they need to grow strong physically and mentally.

Snak Pack is a food delivery system that aids youth in Canada through a meal subscription plan. Local stores, restaurants, eateries, bakers, and more can join their local program and aid in supplying healthy balanced diets to youth in their cities.

DESIGN PROCESS

This project was aimed at testing the capabilities of Adobe Dimensions. Tasked to create a small single package item for a non-profit fictional brand. I wanted to push my illustration skills with this project—therefore, I dedicated most of my time to illustrating the lid of the package. From that illustration, I was able to extract elements and build an identity around them.

Artistic illustration spelling 'SNACK' with food items like crackers, melons, sandwiches, apples, muffins, and carrots.
Black and white sketch of abstract shapes labeled with different foods, including apple, kiwi, chicken, pancakes, and crackers.
Abstract illustration featuring colorful elements like a hamburger, corn, buses, watermelon slices, and geometric shapes on a dark background.
Illustrated food-themed map with stylized roads, burger, corn, tomato, watermelon, and kiwi, featuring cars and text "Snak Pack: You buy one, we give one."

PACKAGING VERSION FOUR

Version four of this package required me to make additional marketing materials to “sell” this as a viable product during class presentations. Including a delivery systems poster, and social media.

Colorful snack packaging box with illustrations and four bowls containing strawberries, hummus with pretzels and carrots, blueberries, and almonds on a blue background.

HOW IT WORKS

Snak Pack works with local restaurants, bakers, eateries, produce stores, farmers, and more, to aid youth through food. This program works through the commitment of the community. Extra stock, meals, prep, or “defective products” can be donated to our kitchen—where we will custom-make fresh, nutritious, and balanced meals to be sent out to our communities. Snak pack is committed to zero waste, healthy food, and energizing the next generation.
